Basic Hand Embroidery: Personalized GA Outline Project Class



APRIL 1st, 5 – 7 pm

Have you wanted to learn to work with needle & thread by hand? Come stitch an In The Quiet Hours Pattern of the state of Ga. You can personalize your state by marking your favorite Ga cities and/or towns! We will learn the basics of hand embroidery; including the stem stitch, back stitch, french knot and daisy stitch as well as lots of tips and tricks.

Please bring an embroidery needle(size 3-5), 5in wooden embroidery hoop and your thread color choices (look for stranded DMC Embroidery floss).The pre-printed pattern on cotton fabric will be provided.

Sarah Roberts is a Hand Embroidery Artist & Instructor in Atlanta, Ga. She has been teaching and selling her work since 2013 and loves sharing her passion for hand stitching (& embroidery history) with anyone willing to learn! Sarah has taught classes with Indie Craft Experience, The Homestead Atlanta, and is a regular instructor at Fabricate Studios in West Atlanta. Her work has shown at Paper Ghost Studio in Candler Park and been published in The Atlantan Magazine, issue March 2017.
